Dr. Devdas Madhavan is a senior Urologist and Renal Transplant Surgeon with extensive international training and decades of clinical excellence. He played a pioneering role in establishing advanced urology and transplant services at KMCH and continues to be a key contributor to the growth of the specialty.

Academic Qualifications

  • MS (General Surgery) – Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital
  • MNAMS – Member, National Academy of Medical Sciences
  • FRCS (Edinburgh) – Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
  • Diploma in Urology (D Uro, London) – Institute of Urology & Nephrology

Professional Experience:

After gaining substantial experience in the United Kingdom in the field of Urology, Dr. Devdas Madhavan was appointed as the first full-time Consultant Urologist at KMCH in 1994.

He was instrumental in establishing the Department of Urology at KMCH, developing it into a comprehensive, state-of-the-art centre offering the full spectrum of Adult and Paediatric Urological Subspecialties.

In the field of Kidney transplant, ours is a reputed referral centre for, Steroid-free, ABO Incompatible, and other Complicated Transplants.
