Dr. E. S. Gowrishankar graduated from the prestigious Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai in 2001. He then went to the U.K. to pursue higher speciality training and was awarded M.R.C.P (U.K) qualification, recognising him as a specialist in General Internal Medicine. He has also been bestowed with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, London (FRCP London); the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow (FRCP Glasgow); and the Fellowship of the American College of Physicians (FACP). These are the highest honours awarded to distinguished Physicians in the UK and the USA. 

Dr Gowrishankar has 25 years of experience in Medicine. He trained and worked in various hospitals in the U.K. for 11 years before returning home and joining K.M.C.H as a Consultant Physician in May 2016. He has vast experience in managing a wide spectrum of complex medical diseases.
