Dr. Sujatha Chinnappan is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatrician with a Special Interest in Paediatric Epilepsy, bringing over two decades of clinical expertise from the United Kingdom and India. She combines strong academic credentials with structured subspecialty training in paediatric neurology and epilepsy care.

After completing her MBBS from Stanley Medical College under Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, she pursued advanced paediatric training in the United Kingdom, earning MRCPCH (UK) and DCH (UK) from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She subsequently obtained her CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Paediatrics in 2015, following comprehensive registrar training across leading UK tertiary hospitals.

Her paediatric epilepsy training was purposefully structured over four years in specialist neurology and epilepsy units across the West Midlands, UK, including:

She has completed Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) courses and multiple British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA) epilepsy modules, with active involvement in the national Epilepsy 12 Audit, contributing to updated guidelines on the management of status epilepticus.

Dr. Sujatha currently serves as a Consultant Paediatrician with Special Interest in Epilepsy at Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore (since 2015). She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive paediatric care, managing both general paediatric conditions and complex epilepsy disorders through a multidisciplinary approach.

Her additional qualification in MBA (Hospital & Health System Management) from BITS Pilani strengthens her contribution to clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives within paediatric healthcare systems.
