Dr. Swathigha S is a highly accomplished Radiologist with over 10+ years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, currently serving as Senior Consultant Radiologist at Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), Coimbatore since 2021.

With a focused specialization in Neuroradiology, she has developed advanced expertise in high-end MRI applications, including neuro-oncological imaging, neurodegenerative disorders (dementia imaging), and functional brain imaging.

Leads advanced neuroradiology services with specialization in neuro-oncology and functional imaging. Actively participates in multidisciplinary tumor boards and implements advanced MRI protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.

Previously worked as Consultant Radiologist in various other reputed tertiary care hospitals in Coimbatore, where she has handled multimodality imaging including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound, with emphasis on brain and spine diagnostics.

Neuro-Oncology Imaging Leadership

Dr. Swathigha provides comprehensive imaging support from early diagnosis to advanced treatment planning.

  • Advanced Tumor Characterization: Expertise in Diffusion Imaging, Perfusion Imaging, and MR Spectroscopy for tumor grading, recurrence assessment, and therapeutic guidance.
  • Pre-Surgical & Radiation Planning Support: Collaborates closely with neurosurgeons for surgical mapping and biopsy targeting, and with radiation oncologists for precise radiotherapy planning and target delineation.

Advanced Neuroimaging Expertise

  • Functional MRI (fMRI): Among the few radiologists in the region performing and interpreting fMRI for eloquent cortex mapping, aiding in safer neurosurgical interventions.
  • DTI with Tractography: Advanced white matter tract mapping for complex tumor and epilepsy surgeries.
  • CSF Flow Dynamics Studies: Specialized assessment of CSF circulation in hydrocephalus and related disorders.
