Dr. V. Ajay Vidyasagar is a Intensive Care Unit associated with Erode KMCH. 

Dr.Ajay completed his training in Critical Care Medicine from Christian Medical College, Vellore in 2011 and worked as junior consultant in Neuro ICU for a year after completing training, where he gained experience in managing complex head injury patients in the ICU.

He then went to Australia in 2014, and worked at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Later, the Flinder’s Medical Centre, Adelaide. There,he worked with world renowned intensive care Physicians like Prof.Andrew D Bersten who is highly regarded internationally for his pioneering work in respiratory medicine, and diagnostic and therapeutic protocols in intensive care and Prof. Shailesh Bihari whose research in sodium and water balance has led to new insights in the fluid management of the critically ill patient.

During his time as a Senior Registrar at FMC, Adelaide, he gained further experience in the care of medically and surgically ill patients being treated with state-of-the-art cutting edge technology.

He returned to Erode in 2018 and joined the team at KMCH Speciality Hospital, Erode, with an aim to provide World-class intensive care to the people of the region.

Training & Experience:

  • Dr. Ajay finished MBBS taining at JIPMER,Pondicherry in 2000 and then MD internal Medicine at Govt Royapettah Hospital in 2007.
  • He then joined the prestigious Kasturba Medical College,Mangalore,Manipal Univ. As Asst professor in Internal Medicine and gained practical experience over the next two years, treating referred complicated illnesses involving multiple systems including rheumatological disorders, tropical diseases, infectious diseases, sepsis, auto-immune disorders, difficult to control diabetes.
