Dr. V. Ramachandran Vel is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon, Neurotologist, and Cochlear Implant Surgeon with over 19 years of clinical experience in Otorhinolaryngology. He has received advanced subspecialty training in Cochlear Implantation, Implant Otology, Neurotology, Rhinology, and Anterior Skull Base Surgery from leading centres in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.

He holds prestigious international qualifications including FRCS (ORL-HNS, UK), FEBORL (Europe), DNB, and M.S. (ENT), and has completed a dedicated Cochlear Implantation and Surgical Otology Fellowship in the UK. His advanced international training includes the Advanced Cochlear Implant Surgeons Course in Texas, USA, Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Mini-Fellowship in Miami, USA, International Visiting Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), USA, and a Sialoendoscopy Mini-Fellowship in Alexandria, Egypt.

Dr. Ramachandran has served as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in several renowned NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom, as well as in tertiary care institutions in India and the Middle East. His clinical expertise spans cochlear implantation and hearing rehabilitation, advanced ear and skull base surgery, endoscopic sinus and nasal surgery, salivary gland endoscopy, voice and airway disorders, and comprehensive pediatric and adult ENT care. He also has a special clinical interest in sleep-related breathing disorders and sleep surgery.

He is deeply committed to delivering world-class, holistic, and patient-centred care, with a strong belief in multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice. Dr. Ramachandran has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, actively mentoring trainees and contributing to academic development.

He has multiple peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations to his credit and remains actively involved in research and continuing professional development. He is a Life Member of the Cochlear Implant Group of India (Registration No. 771), a member of ENT UK, and is registered with the General Medical Council (UK).
