Dr. V. Ramesh is a highly accomplished Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiologist and ECMO Specialist with over 15 years of extensive clinical, academic, and international experience in advanced cardiac and critical care services.

He completed his MBBS from Stanley Medical College, followed by MD (Anaesthesiology) and fellowship training at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), an Institute of National Importance. During his tenure, he gained comprehensive exposure to complex surgical and critical care cases across multiple super-specialties.

To further refine his expertise, Dr. Ramesh pursued an Advanced Clinical Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, affiliated with the University of Toronto. He later completed his International Diploma in ECMO from La Pitie University Hospital, one of the world’s highest-volume ECMO centres.

Currently serving as the Lead Consultant – ECMO Services at KMCH, Dr. Ramesh heads advanced extra corporeal life-support programs for critically ill cardiac and respiratory patients. He is known for his precision in high-risk cardiac anaesthesia, ECMO initiation and management, difficult airway expertise, and perioperative critical care strategies.

He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals and continues to contribute actively to academic training, research, and clinical innovation.
