Onco-Imaging

The Division of Oncoimaging serves as a cornerstone of the hospital’s comprehensive cancer care program. Dedicated to the precise diagnosis and image-guided management of cancer, the Division provides comprehensive oncologic imaging services across a wide spectrum of cancers involving multiple organ systems. By integrating advanced technology with a patient-first philosophy, the Division ensures that every individual receives a diagnosis grounded in the most current global medical protocols.

Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities

The Division primarily utilizes high-resolution cross-sectional imaging, including CT and MRI, to provide detailed anatomical insights. To ensure a complete diagnostic picture, the team also incorporates Nuclear Medicine whenever clinical needs arise. By keeping imaging protocols and staging criteria up to date, the Division provides the referring clinical teams with the precision required for effective treatment planning.

Precision Interventions and Patient Comfort

Beyond diagnostic imaging, the Division of Oncoimaging is a hub for specialized, minimally invasive procedures. These interventions are designed to be highly accurate while prioritizing patient safety and recovery:

Guided Diagnostics

Guided Diagnostics

Expert Radiologists perform USG and CT-guided FNAC and core biopsies, ensuring accurate tissue sampling for definitive diagnosis.

Palliative & Pain Management:

To improve the quality of life for patients experiencing cancer-related pain, the Division performs specialized plexus/ganglion blocks and neurolysis.

Therapeutic Ablation

For eligible candidates, the Division offers image-guided tumor ablation, a sophisticated technique used to destroy cancerous cells directly.

A Culture of Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration

The Division operates on the principle that the best outcomes are achieved through teamwork. The Oncoimaging team maintains a constant dialogue with referring clinicians to ensure that imaging findings are seamlessly integrated into the patient’s overall care plan.

A key highlight of the Division’s commitment to excellence is its active participation in Multidisciplinary Tumor Board. Meeting three times a week, this board brings together a panel of experts to discuss complex cases, ensuring that every patient benefits from a collaborative, multi-specialty strategy.
